Fauris Style:

Want some free batting practice views up close and personal with some of your favorite players? Trust strangers with your phone? Then Fauris Marmol is your guy. In a new series that he is doing alongside his athlete interviews, Marmol will find some lucky fans in the crowd and ask them if he could borrow their phone. He’ll then bring the phone onto the field, take a stroll towards the dugout, and capture some player interactions as well as his POV of batting practice. The big question is why would anybody trust a total stranger with one of their most personal and important possessions? It is because they understand that the risk involved is worth the reward: they get to have a video of some of the game’s greatest athletes from just a few feet away! These videos provide a unique perspective and allow fans to “experience” on-field batting practice, all while saving money and still having a one-of-a-kind video keepsake. With Marmol’s special media pass, he can get exclusive access to players and areas on the field that the average fan cannot get by themselves, even after purchasing an on-field batting practice ticket. The lucky fan that Marmol surprises might be expecting a few short clips, but what he provides is a collection of moments that the fan could never capture from their seat, even if it is the best one in the house! Many professional sports teams post exclusive player close-ups much like Marmol does, but what sets him apart is the authenticity and the real relationships and connections that stem from his content. No one would ever question whether his videos are scripted, because each one is created with the fans in mind. Since he is a fan himself, he knows what we want, which is what makes his exclusive “fan’s phone” videos so special. His ability to connect with players and share tidbits of their personalities reaches beyond the field and helps the average fan feel closer to them. Next time you see Marmol at a game, say hey and pass him your phone, and you won’t regret it! He helps bring fans closer to the game, one video at a time.
