Rising Greatness - The Miz
Milwaukee — Jacob isn’t your typical opener; he’s out of your league, literally. Great fastballs aren’t just thrown overnight; they’re developed over several innings while playing for the Milwaukee Brewers.
Pitching a 105.5 mph fastball is the highest velocity we’ve seen since Chapman, who reached 105.8 mph.
“It’s cool,” Misiorowski said. “I think I slipped a bit on that pitch. I think that’s the one I saw on the board that said 105. I think I have a little more.”
Could The Miz reach 107?
The Miz did tie that 105.5 mph with Ben Joyce, who threw it back in September 2024. It’s great to see that we still have young players with a lot of potential!
Jacob currently stands at a 9-3 record with a 1.4 ERA and a MLB-leading strikeout rate. Christopher Sanchez is in second place with 136 strikeouts, and Dylan Cease is third with 128 strikeouts.
The Brewers are holding onto the number one spot in the National League with a record of 53-31.
