The Recall Up: A Moment All Yankee Fans Waited 13+ Months For!
It was the 9th inning, on May 12, 2025, when the unexpected happened to one of the fans favorite on the Yankees’ roster… Oswaldo Cabrera. It was a true heart stopping moment for all those watching, as we all realized how severe the injury was. Cabrera suffered an ankle fracture and ligament damage, which led him to have to be carted off the field, and the fans were just as hurt watching. Immediately, everyone knew it would be a long road back before Oswaldo can get back on the field.
After a long wait of 13+ months, Oswaldo gets the call back up to the Bronx from triple A! A moment many Yankees’ fans were waiting for, as well as Oswaldo himself. The news made noise throughout social media, as many spoke about the value that Cabrera has always had as a utility player. He was batting for an average of .243 and compiled 11 RBIs and 1 home run in 34 games played. Cabrera is very well known for his defensive abilities in multiple positions, and with the Yankees dealing with some current injuries, Oswaldo is the man to call!
Oswaldo Cabrera is not only valued on the field, it’s also off the field. He is loved by the communities around NYC and New Jersey area, by Yankee fans, small businesses, nearly everybody, due to his welcoming way of being, besides his athletic skills. He constantly takes time out to interact with fans in any ways he can, and and with his return back to the big leagues, he is already making his way back around the communities and interacting with fans, as per usual Oswaldo, some things just never change! Reasons like that is why he is loved and supported, and will continue getting cheered on by fans and players around the league.
With all the excitement around Oswaldo’s return, there is only one thing left to do… wait for his in game appearance, that yet has not come for him. This call up could help the Yankees tremendously again, Cabrera gets to play in front of the his beloved fans again, and the fans get to enjoy the joyful personality that Oswaldo plays with and naturally possesses… it’s a great moment for the Bronx!
