Lawrenceville, GA—The Memphis Redbirds look to be getting back in their groove tonight following an explosive offensive output from 24-year-old CF Colton Ledbetter. The 2023 second-round pick blasted two home runs and two singles in the Redbirds' 7-3 win over the Stripers to get them back to a .500 record to start the second half of this Triple-A season.  

Ledbetter was packaged to St. Louis back in February as part of a three-team trade that saw the Cardinals ship 29-year-old Brendan Donovan to the Seattle Mariners for a host of Mariners prospects, including former top-100 prospect Jurrangelo Cijntje, who currently ranks fourth in the organization.

Memphis won the first half of the 2026 International League season with a 47-28 record, clinching their spot in the League Championship Series, but stumbled out of the gate in the second half, currently sitting at 7-7.  

The Redbirds roster includes some key pieces of the St Louis Cardinals rotation, including left-handed speedster Victor Scott II, who stole 34 bases last season in the MLB, and 23-year-old Blaze Jordan, who is currently batting .313 with 11 home runs so far this season in Triple-A.

Despite the loss, the Stripers got a pretty solid performance from 2019 second-round pick Aaron Schunk tonight, who went 2-for-4 with a single, double, and even worked in a walk. Gwinnett now falls to 4-9 to start the second half and will attempt to end their five-game losing streak and keep hopes of winning this series alive tomorrow night at 7:05 PM.
